Aaron Lewis - Founding Director
BAppSc(PHTY) MSportsPHTY APAM APA Sport and Exercise Physiotherapist
Aaron is an APA Sport and Exercise Physiotherapist with a focus on Achilles tendon, ACL tears, hamstring and Upper limb throwing and lifting pathology. He is the founding director and senior consultant physiotherapist for Performance 360. The P360 experience is a unique and innovative way of approaching healthcare for the purpose of day to day, occupational and sport/athletic performance, injury management and prevention.
His beliefs are simple: Define where we are at -> set a goal -> define barriers -> create a plan -> execute -> celebrate
He believes objective measures are a key part to the clinical reasoning process however they need to be used in an appropriate clinical framework with patient centred goals in mind. He wont guess his way through but still believes in his instincts and intuition when helping people achieve their goals. He believes in an individualised approach to not only two different people but the subtleties of how an individual moves differently in different situations.
Aaron is one of only a handful of people in the country trained to use ultrasound tissue characterisation (UTC) to assist in determining best pathways for managing Achilles, patellar and proximal hamstring issues and he is starting to look to apply to plantar fascia and elbow tendons pathologies as well.
Aaron has worked clinically with 1000’s of people since 2007 and during that time worked with many athletes and teams including Cricket NSW; WACA; Cricket Victoria; Sydney Blue Sox; Baseball NSW; Western Sydney Rams Rugby; NSW Sub-districts Rugby; Sydney Swans and South Sydney Rabbitohs as well as a variety of junior and premier level of local sports in cricket, netball, soccer and rugby.
Outside of work, time with his family is important as his two boys – Jack and Isaac – develop their sport, interests and hobbies. He is passionate about cooking, photography, building lego cities, lifting weights and running and has been involved in many community projects being President of NWS Hurricanes Cricket Club for 10 years and assisting in the development of Bruce Purser Reserve in Rouse Hill.
