Neurological conditions are many and varied, but are universally related to damage or impairment at a processing level rather than a purely muscular level which presents its own challenges and problems. Common conditions which need to be watched for are:

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Developmental Coordination Disorders
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

These conditions have varied presentations and problems, but early diagnosis in all cases is important to arm the family to better care for their child and to improve the child’s prognosis long term.
